in bern

well, nice was simply nice. with the carnival, it was even better. I was looking forward to my flight from nice to geneva as it was going to be on an embrear 190. The dont have E190 in singapore. It´s a mini plane 2x2 seater, with leather seats, serves chocolates, pastries, coffee, wet tissues for a 45 min flight. nice.

Geneva welcomed me witha temp of 5 deg cel. surprisingly, it felt refreshing to feel cold wind blowing into my face. something happened at immigration, the officer used his magnifying glass to check the authenticity of my passport. like wth. i just stood there giggling. afterwhich, he asked for my ic to verify. worse part of all, he stamped the arrival chop on the last page of my passport. bodoh!

the train ride from geneva airport to geneva for free so i saved quite a bit. I walked round geneva, but not that much as it was drizzling. then i made my way to bern. the train ride was about 1.5 hours and i paid 60 plus dollars. like wth. ok, just a note to anyone who wants to visit switz, it TRUELY is an expensive city.

I walked round bern today. Went to the old city, such a pretty town. Then in the afternoon, i went to interlaken. It was a short trip there as i had to catch the 4.36 train to be back for cheese fondue over at markus´s. the transportation system in switz is truely efficient. if they say the train leaves at 1315, it leaves exactly at 1315. so what i did was to walk from interlaken east to the west station. It´s a pity the weather isnt that good as i couldnt see the peaks clearly. however i was still contented with just being there. thank you Allah.
