Switzerland

When i think of Switzerland, i think of snow, mountains, cheese, chocolates and clocks. And yes, i did see all those during my 1 wk stay there.

Flybaboo. I particularly was looking forward to this flight as it was on an E190. You don't have E190s in Singapore. Seating configuration is 2 x 2. Big windows. Leather seats. Tea/coffee for 45 min flight. Swiss chocs. I like..

Lake Geneva.

Geneva train station.

The view was more or less the same as the train passes alongside lake geneva, enroute to bern.

I was so happy to be in Switzerland. And in case you are wondering, the ground outside was covered with snow.

The famous bern clock tower. i bet many of you don't know about it. yea, it's THAT famous.

Autobus. Tram-like bus.

Bern old town.

Interlaken. Town between lake Brienz and lake Thun.

Focus on the colour of the lake and not the handsome man in the picture,

Mama, i will one day buy you a gucci bag. i promise. :)

This person is SO happy as he got to ride the ICE.

Mat Salleh babies are so cute!

Matterhom express took me to Zermatt.

No one can wipe that grin off my face.

I need to come back to Zermatt again. I Love this place. Full of snow.

Cute kids.

This was my only source of entertainment during my travel. I think I would have died much earlier had i not borrowed it from abah.

You're in Switz when you see English, German, French and Italian on sign boards.

Lausanne.

Green tram.

It rained quite a bit in Switzerland.

france

As for France, the two main cities i went to were Paris and Nice. Paris was simply beautiful, especially at night. No wonder it is the city of romance. Oh, on the first evening, i walked all the way from Gare de Lyon to the Arc de Triomphe! I did lots of day trips from Nice, such as to Grasse, Monaco and Cannes as bus rides were only 1Euro for one way.

standard picture.

flying easyjet was a nightmare as everyone was rushing for seats at the front part of the cabin. as for me, im fine with where i sit as long as it is a window seat.

the orange bus from GCD to RER torcy station, where Isabelle fetched me.

ooo, lovely old parisian houses along river seine.

the famous notre dame from the back.

me and the front view of the notre dame. didnt go in as i dodnt have enough money. haha! well, i will the next time i come to paris.

pesky gypsy woman who went round asking ppl if they knew english. and if you said yes, she'll show you a piece of paper with words on it, saying she needs money for blah blah blah.. they work as a syndicate. if you go there, don't pity them. they're all able bodied and should find a job instead of beg. I was approached 3x within a 10 min period.

now, how can anyone NOT want to visit paris?

arc de triomphe.

disneyland paris. just 3 train stops from Isabelle's place but unfortunately no money to go in. :( got budget to maintain la beb.

paris's main mosque, somewhere near the zoo. there's a cafe which sells reasonably priced food. i bought some cake for just Euro1.5.

me in front of moulin rouge

the sacre coeur. be wary of african men who will trick you into giving them money after they make some stupid cheapskate friendship band. These people spoil the image of paris.

oh! my long lost lover, i've finally found you. and so did 3478523467563475671346 other tourists.

inside the louvre. this place is huge! for Euro 9, it's really worth it.

outside the louvre. i was here 10 years ago and maybe will be there again 10 years from now. haha!

i was lucky to witness a peaceful french protest at distrist 2! :)

at Maeva's 18th. thanks for inviting me!

the eiffel tower.

camwhored instead of admiring the paintings. haha!

it was a beautiful day to be outside.

thank you Isabelle and family for everything, especially the welcome meal of roasted chicken. I appreciate your effort to roast halal chicken for me, providing halal meat slices and cooking vege soup. i'll miss your 'good mornings' and 'welcome home' greetings. :)
