1/6

Well, one down and five more papers to go.

Econs was alright. It was better that I had expected it to be. Though I had trouble doing some sub-sections, i managed to complete the paper just in time. And had this positive vibe upon leaving the examination hall so i guess i did ok. I tried my best, putting in effort for this paper. All i've to do now is to tawakal. (:

Next up, BS 104-Biomolecules.

1wk++

I'm feeling the pressure now considering exam's just round the corner. I've finally went thru the whole of organic chem but it's not really helping cause i keep forgetting lots of important stuff. I just need to practice more then. And I SO need to start studying my other modules. I'll start with BS104 tonight.

Ok, the AT beside me is studying really hard. I need to be as hardworking as him. Jia you Mustafa!

Just a side note: I'm the type who can only study when left alone in the library. That doesn't make me anti-social, ok. PY, all the best for you upcoming papers!

I SO need to go on a holiday now.

Tuesday, November 3, 2009

Ok, I'm beat. I just cheoing-ed 4 labr leports in 1 day! What a feat.

Exams are just round the corner and everyone is mugging. Im in the business library now and surprisingly, it's not packed. Hmm, probably because it's freaking cold in here. Anyways, seeing all the seniors around me somehow motivates me to study even harder.

I'm not aiming for fantastic results. All I'm hoping to get is a GPA that's above 4.5. I'm just hoping for the best but am always prepared for the worst.

All the best to muggers in denial out there. That includes me. ><

econs oh econs

I just received an email from Joanna informing me of my econs test grade. I e-mailed her a few days ago to request for my marks as S/U option closes this sun. I got 65/100. Expected to do better but i guess it's alright for someone who has never done econs before. And the paper was all mcq questions testing us on concepts. Hope I'll do better for the exams. (:

Reality check

eh, salah, i'm banning myself fr using fb but not blogger. lol.

I SO want to be in Turkey now. How i wish i can sing, "I'm leaving on a jet plane, I don't know when I'll be back again." ):

It's time.

Ok, I've enough of all the procrastinating shit. It's time to unleash the _______ in me. Time to REALLY start studying. So bye bye fb, bye bye blogger. See you on 5th December.

o k

Right, just a quick update while the lecturer is preparing his stuff.

I wish i met nicer people in uni. Alright, they arn't that bad but why can't i meet people like my secondary school friends. My uni friends are what I call the hehe-haha type of people. It's really hard to differentiate who the true friends are and those who simply just want to squeeze dry info and an

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

It's tuesday today.

Alright.

So i'm in the business library now, taking a break from my school work. How I wish this month will pass quickly so I can get over all this shit studying for this term! Schoolwork has been piling and i'm literally drowning in tons and tons of work. And please do not mention anything about lab report cause, URGH!

Ok, I've finally managed to disable the NTU firewall so that gives me no reason to not study bs205 at home. And I'm going to stop procrastinating and start revising. And I think I should go on a month long facebook ban. Yes, I'm so going to do that. Change my password and pass it to someone reliable and ONLY retrieve it at after my exams. Desperate time calls for desperate measures la.

OK, i am SO stressed. I don't know why. LOL. I think I'll go for a short run later.

Then mug through the night. I SO want to get good grades, badly. And I know I will.

1 mth plus to exams..

I finally went to develop my films today at the kodak shop in my neighbourhood. Initially wanted to go to the one at bukit batok but decided to give this shop a try. They don't do it on the spot so i've got to wait 2-3 days before they're ready for collection. Hope the pictures I took will turn out well.

I think I was dumb to opt for ship-postage for my rangefinder. I can't wait to put it to good use but will probably have to wait for a month before i can get to use it. -.-

Watched 2 war shows last weekend-Flags of our Father and Letters from Iwo Jima. Similar storyline but from 2 different perspectives. I dislike watching war movies cause i get very depressed afterwards. ):

1 more week to econs test. Better start mugging.
And I better start revising BS205.

school schmool

Such a tiring week and it's still not over yet. I think the quizes have drained my energy. Gosh, I can't imagine what examinations will do to me. Talking abt exams, there's like a month plus to go before it starts. So I better start revising or I'll regret it later on. zzz

Had intro for bio quiz just now. It was really zzz.

Currently rotting away while waiting for adhoc interview for ntums overseas expedition trip.

Naughty boy.

-skipped 101 and went for breakfast instead.
-didn't go for mon dry lab but studied for 103 quiz instead.
-crashed bms dry lab on tues.
-left gradys behind as me and eugene rushed to take the FREE shuttle bus home.
-was late for school today so decided not to go for 205 dry lab but did my lab reports instead.

Talking about lab reports, I'm dead serious when I saw I have SO SO many to complete.

1) Micelle
2) Extraction of coffee
3) HIV
4) Hemoglobin/myoglobin
----------------------------------------

Ok like seriously wth is with the airlines raising the airfares! grr! looks like if it's too expensive to go to Vietnam, we might consider going to Malaysia. T T

I'll be having 101 quiz tml and I'm not done with reading my notes. I'm so dead! -.-

OS

Online shopped once more. ><

I heart lab reports, NOT.

+ 02 more lab reports to be completed. -.-

Coffee is not my cup of tea.

I just drank a cup of coffee to sustain me for 1,2 hours more tonight so that I can cover more stuff later on.

Am I stressing myself?

How can I not when the girl who sat beside me had almost all her tutorial answers correct while half my foolscap paper was blank!

tsk tsk.

5 more minute.

Don't you wish you can be in bed all day instead of having to drag yourself out of bed every morning? Well, I do. And 5 more minutes in bed means a lot to me.

Wednesday, October 7, 2009

SO many many things to do, so little time left.

20 amino acids to be memorised!

Tons of organic chem concepts to be understood!

Anything related to biology for BS 101.

And all to be learnt by nxt wk in prepration for quiz.

Save me.
--------------

I guess I managed to get some work done today cause of the number of ticks on my to-be-completed-by-the-end-of-the-day list. And tomorrow's going to be another long zzz-ing day. 3 lectures and 2 tutorials with only 1hr break. Perfect.

Oh, did i mention i love baked macaroni and cheese? (:

When lab reports start taking over the lives of human, we ought to do something about it before it annihilates mankind.

Day 4

I love planes and that goes really well with travelling. I'm not really into the technical aspect on the mechanism (BS 104) in which enables the plane to be airborne but instead, I simply enjoy the opportunity of being able to fly a particular. My utility(HE 191) increases everytime I'm seated in the plane seat, especially if it's a window seat. That is why I always make it a point to choose the right seat because it really matters a lot, especially when you're flying in ecomony class. (www.seatguru.com)

What seemed like a luxury in the past is now the complete opposite. Everyone can experience the joy of flying with the introduction of budget airlines. Furthermore, airline promotions (think Emirates-$600+ return to Europe) makes flying much more affordable, if you have cash on hand.

The shortest flight that I've taken was from DPS-AMI. The 15 min flight was on an Indonesian Air Transport Fokker 50 (see picture above). And the longest one was from SIN-LHR. It was a 13hrs flight on British Airways Boeing 747.

My army friends know how crazy I am when it comes to planes cause I would head down to the airport whenever there's nights out. Well, I don't see the point of wasting my money playing LAN especially when I don't know how to. LOL!

Ok, it's 11.30 am and I've decided to go on a 12 hr facebook ban just so I can concentrate on my revision.

Day 3

Alright, I was supposed to wake up early to go to the bank to have some stuff settled before heading off to sch to sumbit some forms but apparently, I was too tired so I overslept. LOL! Messaged a few of my friends whom I thought would be mugging in school but almost all were at home. So I decided not to stay in school cause it's not a condusive place to study especially if everyone around you is mugging. It simply adds on the the stress that I'm experiencing right now. I thought of going to NUS to mug cause I'm meeting Nazeera later for dinner but dropped that idea. And so I'm not at JE library, alone. It's surprising that the library is empty. Oh wait, afterall, it's a school day.

Oh, and a shoutout to my loyal reader and tagger , LPY! (: Hope you're doing fine down under. Can't want to see you in Dec mate! :D

Look at her hold her fork, ever ready to stab ppl. LOLOLOLOLOL!

Alright, my notes are calling me. ):

------
Ok, my afternoon was not spent well. I didn't really study as I was picasa-ing. -.- Met Nazeera for dinner and she got me a mug with a picture of a vespa! Now, how cool is that? Thanks Naz!

Ok, I think I should at least read thru some notes before I turn in.

Day 2

Day 2 of recess week went well. I managed to cover what I wanted, though I feel that I could have done more had I not indulge myself in the wonders of enhancing pictures using Picasa. And not to mention all the time wasted on FB, for God knows whatever reason for. Oh wells. I'm beginning to love organic chemistry even more, especially when i managed to understand some concepts. I used learn via photographic memory and that's probably the reason why I never did so well for the past major examinations. I'm not so worried for the upcoming quizes cause worring won't get me anywhere. I'm only working to that ultimate goal of graduating with a good honours degree at the end of 4 years. Yes, 4 years may seem like a long time, but as far as all of us know, it's not.

Well,it's time for bed now. Nights!

day 1

Well, it's the start of recess week. Ok, recess week actually started on fri but i declared the last weekend to be a holiday for me. Thus I did not do much rigorous mugging. So just a quick update before i start mugging my arse off.

Had a hari raya open house yesterday and am glad that my friends came over for food. I was busy hopping from one group to another trying to pay equal attention to all. It's quite difficult though. See la, told u all to meet at 1 (estimated time of arrival:1.15) but you guys came at 2+ when my army friends came too. LOL! And so my uni friends made a rather large birthday card which I will gladly frame up if i can find the space to do so in my room. Thanks for the cake too! It was heavenly delicious. (:

To Zakee and Khairi: Thanks for the vespa! So cool la! The next time round, you guys can buy me the real one lah! HAHA!

To my army buddies: Thanks for dropping by. It's nice to see you guys cause we seldom meet in school, especially you ANDREW NG! HAHA!

Hmm, initially I planned to wake up early so that I can start mugging early but i ended up waking at 10.30! -.- I feel like doing econs today so I'll probably do some sell notes before proceeding to bs 101, which as a matter of fact has not been touched since forever.

Anyways, I just got to know of this photographer named Adam Ansel and his works are stunningly amazing. My skills are can never match his and as such it'll take me years before I master taking nice pictures.

Saturday, September 26, 2009

I'm finally 21

I'm finally 21.

I'm amazed at the number of birthday wishes i got through facebook. Never had I received so many well wishes before in my entire 21 yrs of existence. Thank you all for making my day.

BS 102 is killing me once more! zzz!

an apology

Sorry guys for being away and not updating this blog of mine. Am busy with school work. It's killing me lah, especially since i'm in a muggers course. Oh wells. I'm just glad to have friends who suffer alongside me. nyahahahaha! (:

Anyways, what do i want to achieve after 4 yrs of uni education? Do medicine? No, cause frankly i don't think i'm THAT good to be accepted into any graduate medical school both local and overseas. I've heard that many enter sbs as it is an avenue for then to try out for GMS upon graduation.

As for me, I just hope i'll do well to get a 2nd upper so that i can continue studying biology at masters level. For my love for biology is like romeo's love for juliet. LOL!

And i'm turning 21 nxt wk. (:

About time.

Well, it's about time I blogged. Been busy with schoolwork lately. Tutorials after tutorials, they just keep coming. So far school's been fun, though some things taught are hard to understand. ): Fasting month is finally here. Long gone were the days when I really had to push myself to the limits, fasting while training in NS.

It has been so long since I've exercised. Yesterday, the UNCOOL gang went to SRC to pay badminton. We booked two courts and played for 2hrs plus. I'm thankful to have great nonsensical friends in uni. :D

Am currently in the library typing this. BS205 just ended 10 min ago. Lab was ok as we went through questions similar to than of A-level math. The only problem I had was trying to figure out what is what, which formula to use for which situation and stuff. The lecturer was alright although i had trouble trying to catch his accent. LOL!

(:

I'm waiting for my new baby to arrive, a Holga 120N.

Saturday, August 15, 2009

Meet the geek.

I was just randomly clicking on the list of modules to see if there was any availability when i chanced upon one with just one place left. Held my breath while i clicked the 'add' button. Luck was on my side as I managed to get that module. Now, what module did I register for? Apparently it was 'How computer works'. That's so -.- . HAHA!

Friday, August 14, 2009

Zzzz..

BS102 was -.- cause the lecturer came in late. Those who came earlier tried to 'chop' the best seats in the lt, only to find them occupied. Students here are really kiasu la.

HE191 was enjoyable though my mind drifted somewhere while trying to understand the basic concepts of econs.

Highlight for BS104 lecture was about how coconut drink can make your skin radiant. The lecturer was so semangat telling us about all the benefits of drinking it.

Went to popyes at the flyer with Pyrox peeps and chilled till 11+. (:

This morning, I tried registering for electives together with Shumin. She got it but I didn't. Another -.- moment for me.

Just completed Econs tut. I think I love econs la. (Actually I'm just psycho-ing myself la) HAHA!

I really need to do lots of reading up cause at this rate, I seriously CMI la.

Wednesday, August 12, 2009

):

Being a first year student has it's disadvantages. We're left with very few options to choose for our electives. There were 0 vacancies for most modules even before our window to choose and register our them was opened. And yes, I'm stuck with only Economics! Yay! Haha!

Yesterday was my first day in NTU. Met Shumin at Boon Lay MRT, joined the SUPER long bus queue, alighted at SBS bus stop and waited, and waited and waited for Kitty. Apparently someone doesn't know how to get to LT 20 from her hall. Tsk tsk. Haha! Once we met up, we had to walk back to SBS to fetch her friend who happens to not know her way as she didn't attend any foc. That's a valid excuse unlike Kitty's. She, well, just doesn't know her way! HAHA!

We were just on time for our first lecture of our university life, BS 103. (: But other students just had to come late. Nak buat grand entrance katekan. Haha! First lecture was alright as it was A level stuff. I'm surprised I can still remember bits and pieces of chemistry, even after 2 yrs of nothingness. Haha!

We had a school tour after our lecture which I felt was unnecessary as our ogls had done well in showing us the important libraries/canteens/whatnots during sbs camp.

Went home and waited for 7pm where 5982568276 other people including me logged into the supid star system to try to register for modules. No luck with German or other modules so I guess I'll just have to try again next semester. ):

Going to go through my econs notes later on in the afternoon.

100th pos

Happy National Day! Happy 21st FY!

Kevin and Emily have such an interesting life as life partners! Just take a quick look at their blog. I pray that mine will be as interesting as theirs, maybe even more. Just so you know, they're the couple I met while at Gili Trawangan. (:

School's going to start real soon and thus I reluctantly (I'm very lazy to step out of the house during a lazy Sunday afternoon) made my way to Popular at West Coast Plaza to get some stationery for school. Frankly, I'm really looking forward to school. I've met a group of awesome people during FOC, some of whom are in the same tutorial group.

That's us all at the end of a 5 days camp. Eh, do you see what I see? HEE HEE!

I went for the Freshmen Welcome Ceremony at Nanyang Auditorium on 060809. We were given a goodie bag each which contained a windbreaker with the school's name and logo printed onto it, a very useful student handbook, map of the school and a torchlight. Yes, a torchlight. You must be wondering why in the world, of all things, NTU decides to give us each a torchlight. Apparently, NTU has this tradition where they'll make the Freshies don the graduation robe in preperation for the recital of the NTU Honour Pledge and the Light-Up Ceremony. Thereafter, we were entertained my student performances. But what many of us were looking forward too was the refresments at the end of the ceremony. (:

O.S

For the love of all things old school, I am going to ditch my Panasonic Lumix FZ-18.

Haha! No la, I'm not so mean to do that especially when it has served me well for these past 2 years. (: But yes, I will be buying a Zorki 4 once I get my August allowance, and at the same time, save up for a DSLR. For those interested, this is how a Zorki 4 looks like. It comes with a nice brown lether case. Now, what more can one ask for?

post camp

Qadeemul Kanaz camp, a collaboration between NTUMS and Perbayu was a success. You can see that the whole team put in lots of effort as the freshies (us) enjoyed ourselves. I'm glad I was able to attend the camp. Being part of Belo Blues, we had the opportunity to be, erm, belo just like our facilitators (Syimah and Ashraf). I doubt they'll ever read this boring blog of mine. Nonetheless, I'd like to thank them once more for making our time in BB a giler-giler one!

Now, there is a sudden increase in number of malay friends I have. (:

I can't wait for school to start!!

Just a quick update.

Sorry but I deleted my incomplete post on my backpacking trip to Indonesia. The main reason is that I do not have SO much free time to pen down my experience (ok, actually I'm just lazy la). Haha! So if you guys are interested to know more about my 2 weeks experience in Java and Lombok, do ask. I don't bite.

Anyways, camp Avenir was awesome. I had so much fun. All thanks to our very enthusiastic MGL, OGL, SA and OG mates. And now that camp's over, the spamming has begun. Poor Cass!

O.O Kaylen says hi..

Keeping a personal diary and writing all my thoughts into it keeps me sane when I'm travelling alone.

Friday, June 12, 2009

And so I met up with Nicolas the French CSer who has been travelling/working/living in a few countries. He's such an amazing person and by default, another fellow CSer who inspires me to travel the world even more. I met him at Farrer Park MRT and we walked towards Kampong Glam. We had beef murtabak at ZamZam. Walked towards City Hall and gave the standard commentary. LOL. Nicolas had another appointment with another CSer at Harbour Front MRT so we made our way there. Since we were 15 min early, I decided to show him my favourite shop in the whole of Singapore-The National Geographic shop at Vivocity. Our jaws dropped a few times whenever we looked at the price tags.

'Original price:$25 000
Sale: $19 000'

Like who the TOOT would buy them. Ok maybe the super rich.

Anyways, the decision to go Java was quite last min. Although I did have like 2-3 months to plan for a backpacking trip. So far everything is settled. I wrote in to the Indonesian Group forum to ask for tips/suggestions and replies were all positive. I'm looking forward to meet Teguh and his family, and also the rest of the CSers. And not forgetting Ijen Crater-I've fallen in love with you. Haha!

Oh, I'm thankful I managed to find a CSer who can host me in Bondowoso. Bondowoso is basically a town that is close to Ijen Crater. And little did I know that he had a huge house with a large swimming pool that comes together with maids and a driver (probably a garderner or two) until after I sent him the request and looked through his pictures, thoroughly. Gosh, I need to mentally prepare myself.

i heart cs

As many would know, I've been a semi active member of couchsurfing for slightly more than a year. I've had many great experiences, both hosting and surfing. Yesterday was the second outing I went to. The southern ridge walk was organised by yin and about 10 CSers turned up. In contrast to the distance I've walked as a guardsman, this was nothing. Nonetheless, I was a bit tired as it has been so long since i've excersiced!

Through CS, I've made many new international friends whom until now still keep in contact with, both via the CS website and FB. Every now and then we would exchange messages and keep each other updated. Just recently, I've received a message from Katka saying that she will be heading to Thailand in a few months time together with Till and her newborn daughter. And if all goes as well, she will dropby Singapore. Hmm, Katka and her exotic asia!

And after about a month plus since we met, Frank and I are finally connected via FB. LOL. Great to know that everything's fine over in Berlin and really hope to crash his place when i head over in say, 2 years time?

Enjoyed my first CS gathering at ECP as all of us there share the same interest. (:

Tears

It hurts me when you cry
And I wish i can do something
To make you happy
To feel alive once more
To gain the zest you once had
Even if it was for a second
I'm trying my best
And I know you are too
So I plead to you
Please, don't cry

The rabbit woman.

In Nice I met you
In late February
Sitting quietly opposite Lafayette
You wore layers upon layers of clothes
Fists clutched
Head bowed low
Trying to keep warm
As the wind from the Mediterranean coast
Blew strongly
And beside you
In an old suitcase left opened
There it was
Your companion
Your true friend
According to Yahoo Weather,
Temperature: 30 deg cel
Feels like:37 deg cel

That explains why I'm continuously sweating even though the fan is on. The heat has been unbearable for the past few weeks. I'm really looking forward to the end of year period when it starts to get colder. Wait, who am i kidding? Cold my arse. It'll still be humid. Humid and wet.

I have the tendency to do all those stupid facebook quizzes whenever I'm bored. Well, same goes for everyone too i guess. Facebook plays an important role in our lives now. It's like a must to log into it at least once a day. As a matter of fact, it has become a habit for most of us, including myself. That and couchsurfing website.

I'll be going for my first couchsurfing gathering this saturday. I'll probably be bringing potato salad which i hope will turn out edible.

Anyways, where are all my friends? All so silent only. You all don't friend me issit? Or you all playing hide-and-seek/peek-a-boo/cak-cak?

Monday, June 1, 2009

For those wondering, yes, it's true that i am not attached. I prefer to stay single for the time being.

I Dream (not TB)

I dream
And I know I will
One day ascend mountainous peaks
Enduring blisters and rots
And harsh weather conditions

And I know I will
One day trek the driest deserts
Which people claim cannot sustain life
But there I will be
Still surviving

And I know I will
One day say 'hello'
In many different tongues
Integrating into your society
Lost in translation

And I know I will
One day look back
And wished I had started earlier
For there is so much to see
And also do

For life is short
That everyone knows
May dreams turn into reality
God willing

wah! STEP poetry konon. LOL.. anyhow only..

Black Beauty

You appeared into our lives out of no where
You greet us every morning
Purring softly
Your favourite spot was on the shoe rack mat
Where you laze, green eyes half-open
Couchsurfers enjoyed your presence
Harry, Frank, Sepp
And especially Vania
When you accompanied her to sleep
I'm sorry you have to go through all these
But rest assured you'll always be remembered
You'll always be our favourite neighbourhood cat
Our very own
Black Beauty

Met up with Jason at Suntec and went for a short interview for a job as temp temperature taker you see at hospitals/entry and exit points across the island. We then headed down to Emirates head office which was located at the Gothic-like batman building opposite raffles hospital. Paid for the tickets and got so excited eventhough i'm not the one flying off. ): Lunch was at KFC. Took a bloody long bus ride home on 51. Went running in the evening. Watched project runway drag queen special episode. Am now stoning in front of the computer. WOW, i LOVE my life.

another day..

oh sepp, why are you such a funny person?

he is the only CS to return back to my hse as he wasnt able to get the 1400 ticket to KL. before that, i rushed my way to tanjong pagar, hoping to pass him his hp which he had forgotten to take along with him. as soon as i reached, my mom gave me a call, informing him that he returned back. -.-

after bidding farewell the second time, i assumed he had learnt his lesson. i was wrong when i had to chase after him to pass his his 1.5l water bottle which he had forgotten. haha!

wow. i love running at night.

zdravei(hello)!

Wow. it was truly a wonderful experience to host Vania from Bulgaria. can you imagine she actually set aside usd2k for an 8 mths trip. ask her how she goes about doing it and she will tell you that she hitchhike, couchsurf and when really necessary, set up camp. a true backpacker, traveller. me and jason enjoyed every second with her. we got lots of helpful tips from her. i just hope that one day i will be able to do what she has been doing for years.

went to hortpark and walked the southern ridges with sepp and jason. pretty tired now.

5 wks of hols between sems. where should i go?

wow

Today was Frank's (CSer fr Germany) last day in Singapore. So we went cycling at Pulau Ubin, managed to cover the important sights within 3 hours. Pretty exhausting considering that we went to Bukit Timah Nature reserve the day before to trek the toughest trail that it offered us. It was good excercise for lazy me. I'm sure Frank enjoyed himself as i had to stop countless number of times while he went on taking pictures of the flora and fauna there.

One thing that sets him aside from the other CSers was that he liked asking a lot of questions on Islam. Mudah-mudahan Allah membuka hatinya untuk memeluk agama Islam.

Anyways, i find it interesting that he kept reminding me to do my prayers everytime we were outside. He was afraid i would miss it. (:

In the past, i had this fear of excusing myself just so i could do my prayers in private. Doing my prayers in public was simply out of the question. I was more comfortable praying at home or at the mosque. I was naive. As years went by, i became slightly braver. I dared asking permission from my non-Muslim friend before i prayed in their house. When i worked at Vivocity, i prayed at some quite corner (though ppl sometimes pass through there). Praying at some corner of Changi Airport was normal when i went there during nights off. I tried my best to not miss any prayer while in the army. In Europe, i prayed at my host's home and prayed at Heathrow, Barajas and El Prat airport. I began to realise that, yes, we shouldnt be afraid for what we strongly believe is right. When we need to pray, we pray. As muslims, i believe that we should be proud of our religion. Anyways, people dont make a hoohah when you pray in public in Europe. Unfortunately, that's not the case in singapore.

"Alamak, budak ALIM tengah solat SIOL" Yes, sadly, that's we comment we get from our own people. Orang-orang melayu kita sendiri. ):

Im writing this post not to brang but instead hope that it acts as a reminder to myself and others of the importance of praying 5 times a day no matter where we are.

this post is dedicated to my mls friends

Helo my kawan2 malas, oops i meant mls. This entry is dedicated to you guys. I've got something to share dengan korang2 semua. As you know, i quit my job cause i was pissed with the manager yang kate "Oh, actually, you are not allowed to go for friday prayers. Why don't you go after 3pm when your shift ends?" SAY WHAT!?!
And i only asked to be excused for 30 min(1330-1400hrs).

Anyways, i got bored at home and logged onto youtube and i found something really interesting, not sure if any of you have ever came across it. I'm a noob when it comes to putting links in blog entries(ok, don't laugh too hard cause later stomach cramp, lah) so just do a search on Ahmed Deedat on youtube and you will be entertained by him for 3463498623406hrs as his debates with various people will let your mind work itself into uncovering the logical explaination of religion.

Eh, i penat2 type this in the morning so you all better do as i say.. or else.. hur hur hur.. haha!

Ok, and do you know tt the Al-Aqsa mosque and the Dome of the rock is not the same thing. Go do a quick search on wikipedia and you will be shocked not to see the picture of the usual gold coloured dome but instead a silver one. Tak percaya? Go do a quick search, lah.

Besides that, korang semua goggle lah nama Maryam ataupun Mary. Lepastu tengok ape dia pakai. Eh, tu macam tudung tu.

Oh, and what's with the gambar of prophet Muhammad PBUH on wikipedia? Have they not learnt the lesson from that Danish cartoon incident? tsk tsk.

Pretty interesting, lah, when you have LOTS of free time. You get to learn and discover things less known to others. So technically, i'm not wasting my time rotting at home. (:

Oh, all the best to the minah2 who will be sitting for their exams.

i wonder...

Why in the world would i want to work as a waiter and get paid peanuts when i can find other physically lesser job (think A level graduate)?

For the LOVE of it bebeh.

ok, no. I was just kidding.

Seriously, i cannot stand dumb managers who are most suited to be those sexy(NOT) beer aunties at kopitiam.

She says, "Wait i poot poot in the wall then you know!" I say" WHAT!??!"
She says, "You tingg that what the manager tingg what of you when you sit down and cleangg the pork and spoon" I say "Oh, you mean i can't sit while cleaning the utensils. And  how will that reduce my work efficiency?" And she looked down onto her booklet and continued her work.

for my 21st birthday...

Almost everyone born in 1988 would want a perfect 21st birthday party with presents and all. They claim that 'oh, presents are not important.. what's most important is that i have close friends and family members around me..' YAR RIGHT! If that's the case, pls pass me all your presents. Thank you very much, eh. Haha!

Anyways, i am so bored now so i'm going to take this time to list the 21 things that i would really love to get as birthday presents(note: presents, not present). haha! OK, kidding only, lah.

1) a sleeping bag suitable for -10 deg and abv

10) highlighters (useful for uni)

oh wells.

Yes, in case you are wondering, i am still jobless. :(

Out of boredom, I've decided to plan for my next backpacking trip. Initially, i thought of going to Morocco cause of it's exotic-ness and also due to the fact that it is really cheap to travel within the country. OK, the main reason is to experience the richness of the culture Morocco has to offer(now, that's more like it). However, i doubt i can gather enough funds so i decided to look for a place somewhere close to home.

Indonesia? Yes, I've been there twice. Loved it. But this time round i wanted something different. I wanted to go somewhere i would be lost in the rich culture and language of the country.

Ran through some airfare search to Australia. Ouch! Way out of my budget.

Suddenly, it occurred to me. INDIA!(OK, bluff you again. Mama was the one who suggested it) This could be it. YES YES. KASHMIR. Even during summer, the temperature would be cold but bearable(for us Singaporeans). Besides, there are lots to see in Kashmir or Northern India for that matter. Just wiki 'Jammu and Kashmir' on wikitravel. Vast lands stretching as far as the eye can see, mountains with snow-capped peaks, lakes that are probably the size of Singapore(maybe twice or thrice). Now, how can anyone not want to go to a place like this?

So after countless clicks on Abah's spanking-new laptop(hehe!), i came out with 3 rough itineraries. it looks good to me. I've 3 route options to choose from ranging from $1233 to $1963 nett for a 26 days trip. I love the latest itinerary that i just finished doing roughly an hour ago(the cheap cheap $1233 one). It basically just covers Northern and North-east India (Delhi+Kashmir+Sikkim) . Main highlights would be Taj Mahal at Agra(DUH!), Rohtang pass, Leh, Gulmarg, Youmthang Valley andGurudongmar lake.

Everything will be budget-budget, cheap-cheap. Haha!

We've got about a year to save up. Any takers?

I think i can be a freelance travel planner. So those people reading my blog, in the future, if you need someone to custom plan your honeymoon or whatever, please find me. I won't charge much and i don't bite. haha!

Switzerland

When i think of Switzerland, i think of snow, mountains, cheese, chocolates and clocks. And yes, i did see all those during my 1 wk stay there.

Flybaboo. I particularly was looking forward to this flight as it was on an E190. You don't have E190s in Singapore. Seating configuration is 2 x 2. Big windows. Leather seats. Tea/coffee for 45 min flight. Swiss chocs. I like..

Lake Geneva.

Geneva train station.

The view was more or less the same as the train passes alongside lake geneva, enroute to bern.

I was so happy to be in Switzerland. And in case you are wondering, the ground outside was covered with snow.

The famous bern clock tower. i bet many of you don't know about it. yea, it's THAT famous.

Autobus. Tram-like bus.

Bern old town.

Interlaken. Town between lake Brienz and lake Thun.

Focus on the colour of the lake and not the handsome man in the picture,

Mama, i will one day buy you a gucci bag. i promise. :)

This person is SO happy as he got to ride the ICE.

Mat Salleh babies are so cute!

Matterhom express took me to Zermatt.

No one can wipe that grin off my face.

I need to come back to Zermatt again. I Love this place. Full of snow.

Cute kids.

This was my only source of entertainment during my travel. I think I would have died much earlier had i not borrowed it from abah.

You're in Switz when you see English, German, French and Italian on sign boards.

Lausanne.

Green tram.

It rained quite a bit in Switzerland.
