when i was young, the family would always meet abah at his workplace at raffles place on most saturdays. we would then just stroll along the Singapore river, walk past the asian civilisation museum, victoria theatre, the supreme court, look at the merlion which was then located closer the the queen elizabeth walk. sometime, abah would buy us boys ice-cream, especially when the weather was hot. ok, maybe not so much of that but probably because he wanted to shut us up. haha! now, that was like 14 odd years ago.
and when we were in primary school, we would bring along our kick-scooters (it was the IN-thing then) and ride it along the queen elizabeth walk as abah n mama sat down watching their three sons.but as soon as abah's workplace shifted to jln sultan and came the 5 working days policy, we seldom had our family outings there.
i guess the last time i went there was late last year after pj's graduation night with my previous other half. and that was the last place we were at together before we broke off. yep.
anyways, after booking out on mon at 1500, i decided to take a bus down to raffles place, just to spend time to reflect on life. really glad i did that. :)
i was very clear of one thing. if you've been waiting for ages to get something that you really would like to have or to keep for the rest of your life, waiting a bit longer would not hurt a bit.
